What is Writing by Jennifer Koch

The grand scheme of changing tides,

worlds on a page often erased.

What plan for this open window

        seeing into the blank dawn of a new day?

Bring to life ghosts in the shadow of memory’s insanity,

of a dream past into dust.

Spinning insight matched by downtrodden plague,

a daemon mating with a muse.

Archetypes surrounded by the sound of tickled fervor;

preparing a demonstration of faith

beholden by the eidolon enjoining our reality.

We in the PPA got a special preview look at the proof copy of Heron Bay Books 2013 anthology “Written in the Mitten” today and, of course everyone knows this already, it was made of awesome. Diana worked so hard on pulling it all together and everyone who submitted worked really hard too, congrats everyone! I look forward to reading it cover to cover and seeing everyone at the launch party!
