Recently, I and several of my writer friends, became published authors in the anthology “Written in the Mitten<\/a>.” This prompted a -short- discussion about being rich and famous, to which I responded that I was not a person to “bask in the limelight.” Really, what is it about fame and fortune that makes people want to live in glass houses? Why is it so intoxicating? I certainly would never want to put myself in that position. I love the idea of people reading my stories and enjoying them, but I would never want the “camera flash” that goes along with it. Perhaps it’s just because I am a private person, perhaps it’s because I am shy and don’t like it when people stare at me, or perhaps I am just not the kind of person who enjoys that kind of adrenaline filled attention… all I do know is that I just want to write and that I hope someone out there enjoys reading it. I’m simple; even with a million dollars I would probably still live in the same apartment I have now. Although, I might upgrade to a two bedroom \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n
