We’ve allowed our lives to get too complicated. We’ve let what is supposedly “time freeing” become “time consuming.” Slow do, relinquish that which you really don’t care about and pick up following your heart’s desires again. As a matter of philosophy, I am slow<\/a>. I don’t need to be on all the social sites, trying to keep up with 359 friends who I wouldn’t even consider “friends” in a pre-tech world (I don’t mean that in a close-minded way, just that real friends are vastly different from “social network friends”). I don’t need all the latest tech toys and fancy materialism that put others in debt they later complain “ruined their life.” Take a moment, slow down, and find out what you really need (not what you want, what you need<\/em>). Spiraling out of control is easy in today’s fast world and that’s just what the big wigs want. I’m fighting back by slowing down. Do a little reading on the Slow Movement (link above) and find your own slow pace. It really is the best thing I ever did.
