This week&#8217;s SMILE theme is inspired by my loving (pain in the ass) boyfriend who suggested I do a SMILE about &#8216;boobs&#8217;&#8230; thanks hun \u3161.\u3161 so helpful. But, in the end, I did get some inspiration from him and decided to focus on songs that showcase the complexity of love, specifically the ones that show how it (sometimes) goes hand-in-hand with hate. Enjoy! <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pink_%28singer%29\" target=\"_blank\">Pink<\/a>&#8216;s True Love ft. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lily_Allen\" target=\"_blank\">Lily Allen<\/a><\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.azlyrics.com\/lyrics\/pink\/truelove.html\" target=\"_blank\">lyrics<\/a>) is actually the song I thought of when Chris was being &#8220;oh so helpful&#8221; >\u3142< I've always said I don't trust any relationship where the 'I hate you's' aren't followed by laughter, and Pink's song does an excellent job of showcasing that. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zsmUOdmm02A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alicia_Keys\" target=\"_blank\">Alicia Keys<\/a>&#8216; Fallin&#8217;<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.azlyrics.com\/lyrics\/aliciakeys\/fallin.html\" target=\"_blank\">lyrics<\/a>) takes a look at the darker side of things. While people should be able to joke with each other over annoyances, it&#8217;s not always all fluffy clouds and rainbows (as my sister likes to say). This song showcases how complicated love truly is, and Alicia&#8217;s amazing voice and skills just make it that much more powerful. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Urdlvw0SSEc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ashanti_%28singer%29\" target=\"_blank\">Ashanti<\/a>&#8216;s Foolish<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.azlyrics.com\/lyrics\/ashanti\/foolish.html\" target=\"_blank\">lyrics<\/a>) takes it one step farther and deals with the truly difficult situation of loving someone you clearly shouldn&#8217;t. The last few lines of the song so simply and so eloquently express the notion that &#8216;love is never easy&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gUPrnu3BEU8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eminem\" target=\"_blank\">Eminem<\/a>&#8216;s Love the Way You Lie ft. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rihanna\" target=\"_blank\">Rihanna<\/a><\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.azlyrics.com\/lyrics\/eminem\/lovethewayyoulie.html\" target=\"_blank\">lyrics<\/a>) brings everything to an explosive end, literally. I didn&#8217;t set out to make this such a &#8216;dark&#8217; SMILE, but these types of relationships aren&#8217;t always bright and shiny. Sometimes, people can just laugh it off and move on, other times &#8220;a tornado meets a volcano&#8221; as the song says and things don&#8217;t end well. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uelHwf8o7_U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Love truly is unexplainable and love-hate relationships can come in all shapes and sizes.
