We all like to say this or that is a “modern convenience” but the truth is most of those things have only degraded our society, our time, and our brains. Sure, you have 312 friends on Facebook… how many of them are actually friends you talk to, people you actually hang out with on a regular basis, and not just people who you happened to, say, go to high school with years ago? We’ve learned to multitask using different electronic devices and programs… yet research suggests that this is actually hindering our productiveness and mental skills. What ever happened to simpler times? Yes, we had to actually go outside and play, but we actually went outside to play! You know, back when the word ‘friends’ actually meant something more than just being on a “friends list.” I love modern conveniences as much as the next person (many of my friends live in other states and countries), but I prefer to actually spend time with my friends and enjoying life – rather than just pretending to with social networks and games. So, clean out your friends list and grab your true pals for a night out! Share life’s experiences in the flesh rather than just sharing blog links 😛

And now I’m off to watch a movie with my incredibly awesome boyfriend hehe 😉
