My mood has been rather negative these past few weeks with everything that has been going on in my life. I’ve been uprooted on short notice and thrown into a situation that, on occasion, left me feeling like my opinions and my possessions did not matter and were easily tossed out with the garbage. I know that’s not true, however, a menagerie of reasonings and events have caused those feelings to fester and persist to the point that I am surprised the others around me haven’t noticed yet. Whenever I try and voice my feelings, I am generally greeted with the same irksome answer, “well everything is going on and they need to do what they need to do, you shouldn’t complain.” They make it sound like I am some uncaring, unsympathetic ingrate simply because I am trying to voice my frustrations over the whole situation (you know, for a little release). I am not complaining about doing what we did, and anyone who knows me knows well that I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, I am simply unhappy with the way things happened and are (slightly) still happening. I have a right to complain about that. I have a right to voice my opinions when I feel they are not being noticed or looked upon with value. Simply because I am complaining does not mean my empathy and love is somehow lacking. Being negative is not the same as being heartless. Kindly remember that before you criticize and look down your nose.
