Sometimes your best intentions come off as attacks to others, would you not offer to help if a negative response could potentially be the reward? Sometimes, the only thing one can do is wait and see.

And when that final result comes, be it one you accepted or didn’t, remember that the point is: you tried. If the reward is a gracious thank you than be humble. If the reward is something less than courtesy than be the grace you wish they would show.
