We writers sure do have a whole lot of ideas stacked away in the back of our minds don’t we? And, with more coming in each day, it’s easy to feel overloaded and wonder when you’ll ever find the time. This is what you need to remember:

You have to figure out what is most important to you and pack away all the semi-useless, half-important stuff that is muddying up your writing life. I have tons of ideas floating around inside my head, but I also know which stories are the most important to me and that is where my attention goes – no matter how much my brain is going “oh but it would be so cool if…”. The length of your ‘to write’ list is entirely up to you; you can control it or you can let it control you.
