Lots of people look down on me because of my “strange” style. My causal-Middle Eastern-country-Harajuku-Bag Lady-Asian style. Heck, even I call it strange – but, it’s still my style, and I like it. I couldn’t care less about what people are wearing on the runways of the world or what some ‘fashion’ magazine thinks is right for my body shape/face shape/hair color/eye color/star sign/BMI/diet/sexual history/love life/birthday/the mood I’m in when my mother calls me to come over and help her clean house… seriously, clothes should not be that complicated – just like food shouldn’t be that complicated. You make food, you eat it, it’s gone – end of story. Why do we need to agonize so much about it?

I wear clothes I like, I take them off and wear something else while I watch them – not an intricate process. No one else can say what I enjoy, what I find comfortable. Oh, my butt looks big in these jeans? Thanks, I’ll take your opinion into consideration. In the end, that’s all it is – someone else’s opinion of you. I choose to live my life by my own opinions of me, thanks. Not saying I won’t take other people’s input into consideration, but I certainly won’t let it define who I am or what I wear. If I want to wear stripes and polka dots together then I will damn it! You can sit back and enjoy the “train wreck” all you like, I’ll be smiling and enjoying my life. You know, being negative is a good way to get those wrinkles all you fashion sheep love so much; I’m certainly happy to help usher them along!
