Undertaking NaNo can be a frightening and strange thing, kind of like the movie Vanilla Sky. When you’re not sure what is up or down, left or right, and you’re just trying to get as many words down on the page as possible… it can leave you leaving very surreal at times – especially if you’re working on a fantasy or mind-bending piece to begin with. Just remember that NaNo is supposed to be a time of fun, of the writing community coming together, and that the word count goal is completely arbitrary. It’s OK if you don’t finish, don’t stress yourself out over it. Making friends and having fun is the most important part.
