Let’s face it, life is complicated. Let’s face something else: we make it that way. We’re always so busy rushing around and trying to do everything that many of us have forgotten what being bored actually feels like. And, yes, being bored sometimes is a good thing. We’re not meant to always be working ourselves to exhaustion, always stressed out over something we haven’t finished yet. Here’s a little secret: there will always be something you aren’t doing while your doing something else. Accept it, and accept that you can do anything but not everything. Give yourself a break and allow a little fantasy and wonder back into your life. Get lost on purpose in a place you’ve never been to before. Take a different route for the day and remind yourself that, while there is always more out there to do, just having fun exploring for a little while is enough.
