A SMILE From India (Week 47 – 2015)

No, I did not forget to do this week’s SMILE; I’ve just been busy. Anyways, for this week, I picked a new location to explore! Well, not entirely new to me, but still new enough that I had fun discovering things. So, sit back, relax, and get ready to experience some songs from India! Enjoy!

Alisha Chinai‘s Lover Boy (lyrics – Sorry, I couldn’t find them in English!) is up first, and this is actually the first Indian song I ever heard. It comes from the sci-fi film Love Story 2050. I don’t remember much about the movie, but this song stuck with me cause it’s a great sensual dance track. (Sorry for the video quality, it’s the best I could find!)

The next song, AKS‘ Tamboori Meetidava ft. Vasanth S (lyrics – in video description; sorry, no English!), was introduced to me by a friend. He quite liked Vasanth S’ voice, and I have to agree with him. This is very soothing and enchanting to listen to.

Shweta Shetty‘s Deewane To Deewane Hain (lyrics – Sorry, I couldn’t find them in English!) comes in third this week and comes with a very fun to watch music video. I suppose this is what Bollywood Pop stars do for fun lol it’s not much different from an American Pop video, minus the cultural stuff of course.

Last for this week is Biddu‘s Boom Boom ft. Nazia Hassan (lyrics – these are the original lyrics, only slightly different from the remix version; sorry, no English!). This popular song was original sung for the 1982 film Star, but this remix version wasn’t released until 1995 – with the same singer, which is (and who is) amazing. (Sorry for the video quality, it’s the best I could find!)
