Even though my musical tastes vary far and wide, I’ve always been a rock girl.  Never mattered what style, what generation, or even what language… rock was my genre. It just fed something within me that would not be tamed, perhaps, because my first concert was KISS. Yes, at the tender age of twelve years old, I attended the kickoff show of their Alive/Worldwide reunion tour (and our tickets were within the mosh pit area no less!). I remember having to stand on the chairs to see and being covered in a thick cloud of smoke that was half from the band’s pyrotechnics and half from the pot smoking crowd around us. Oh, what a night it was! I’d heard them on the radio before of course, along with all the other classic bands like Def Leppard and Judas Priest, but seeing KISS live… no other band compares. And, to this day, those old rock songs are still my favorites. In the immortal words of Bob Seger “Today’s music ain’t got the same soul, I like that old time rock and roll!”
